over heating fan not workig

i have a 94 gt it started to over heat found out the fan was not kicking on i took and ran a hot wire to the fan and than it worked what would cause the fan not to work

ECT out of limits, wiring, CCRM, and few other trivial things. Run KOEO, KOER,KOEM test.

most likely a temp sensor that makes it kick on
