My 90 mustang is bogging really bad and not accelerating properly. If i drive it for a half an hour and shut it off it will not start back up, it takes an hour untill it starts back up.. I took it to a mechanic and he couldnt figure it out any suggestion please ???

you need a different mechanic.....if the prob can be made happen in a techs hands and the window of time to diagnose is 1 hr......should be not hard...when it won't start...either missing fuel or spark...my bet is tfi or stator in the dizzy

My LX was kinda doing the same thing, turned out it was the dizzy. Had the wife bring me the new part on post and changed it in gas station parking lot. HAHA. set the timing, took her to lunch and then went back to work. F*** paying some tech to do what you can yourself. Best way to learn is read what these guys here say and do it yourself.

My 95 did something very similar, it was a combination of a bad EGR sensor and IAC sensor. Google both it'll tell you how to check them. The IAC is pretty simple, unbolt the sensor from the Tb, then have somebody turn the key on but don't start the car, if it rotates it's working. Then run hook it back up, run the car for a bit, turn it off, hurry and unbolt it again, DON'T BURN YOURSELF, then turn the ignition on and see if it turns again. If not then it's faulty/bad. The EGR you will be testing for some kind of voltage but IDK the exact number. You can do a secondary voltage test of the IAC but again I don't know the numbers.
