Default Tune up? or no?

had this 90 GT 5.0 for 2 years now did alot of mods so far... t5 conversion, o/r h-pipe (no cats), 4.10 gear, CAI, headers, super 44 flowmasters, SCT Superchip from American muscle

my question is iv never had a tune up done to this car or any car iv owned, what do they do to them cause if all they do is spark plugs and little stuff i could do it myself lol.

i have the SCT Tuner chip so i dont want them to mess with the tunes unless it would be better if they did.

would it help my car more to get it tuned by a good shop?
are these old foxes even worth tuning?

sorry for all these questions dont know that much about this field of stuff (shade tree mechanic)

Default

It really easy to do a basic tune upe (plugs, wires, cap/rotor). I would get rid of that chip and just bump the timing.
