No Power? HELP!
I have an 89 five speed GT, Im having power problems my car has no electricty no radio, no dome lights nothing my car will not crank over unless I use a flat head screw driver on the solenoid switch that's on the driver side fender right infront of the coil pack. My battery is in excellent condition, the battery posts are in good shape, I changed the solenoid switch, I just put in a t5 transmission yesterday and when I went to start my car nothing no power, I really need some help. I am very sad and confused.
Would do you suggest?

I just had the same problem as him, mines an 88 though, only i didn't make any changes to the car like the new t-5 like him, it just stopped working. i replaced the ignition switch today and i put it back in and plugged the battery back in and the lights came on, and it looked like the problem was fixed. i put everything back together and when i looked up all the lights were off again, and nothing happened when i turned the key. and my battery is brand new and fully charged. I know there was a recall on that model something about the switches, any ideas?

Ignition switch solved
Thanks for letting me know what the problem, I felt a little slow I can do a t5 swap and not figure out it was my ignition switch, I was just frustrated and wanted to be on the road I guess. Well the fix was very easy this web site shows you how and the switch was very inexpensive only $9.99 . My respects to newpony thanks.
