Default steeda tri ax shifter

hey guys, i installed my steeda tri ax shifter on my '95 gt yesterday, and i must say i feel i did a perfect job. but anyways, i know the shifts need a little more effort with the shorter throw, but i've been missing second way more than i did with my stock shifter, and that thing was not in good shape. when racing i had to shift the stock one at 4500rpm (1st to 2nd only)becuase i'd get a buzz in my shift **** at anythign higher and would slow my shifts down. now with the steeda, i get that buzz at practically any rpm if i'm shifting aggressively (fast). Is this my fault? do i just have to get used to the new shifter and adjust how i do it? or does it have to break in or something. and dont say anything about the stops and the gears not engaging fully becuase i know thats not the problem. thanks

damnit haha. i swear i did it right, i adjusted them when i installed it, i applied pressure to the shifter while adjusting it to make sure it was right. so wait is it ok to leave even more room then that tenth of an inch they say? is there no harm in that? thanks alot guys
