Default Quick c4 trans question.

Hi guys i just finished rebuilding my first c4 trans. My question is i just installed a deep sump hughes pan.
Now do you need to have a drop filter installed or can i use just the stock filter? I'm using a tci full manual vb. Hope someone can chime in. What line size would you recommend using for trans cooler? 5/16? 3/8?

thx for any help in advance.

I think I'd use a dropped filter in that.
I'd also use 3/8 line to the cooler.......

I have used both filters with a deep pan and seen no real differences. I also would use the 3/8 line.

Just make sure you have enough fluid in there. Your dipstick may not be accurate now. I learned the hard way, when I launched the car right before 60ft it would flash like it was in neutral. What was happening was I didnt have enough fluid and when i launched it would all rush to the back of the pan away from the filter causing the flash....I even bought a new converter thinking that was the problem....oh well. Live and learn.

they make filters for deep pans. that drop down they look like they have a sump I have also had one that had a large tube that just pushed into the bottom of the filter and it hung down.
