Engine sounds like a moving truck....?
This has progressivly gotten worse but only until yesterday did I start to find it a problem that needs to be addressed.
When the RPM is around 800-2500 and the car is under load (acceleration) the engine sounds like it is running poorly. It sounds like a da-da-da-da-da-da in accordance to a cylinder fire. The faster the RPM the faster the da-da-da-da. I think it is a cylinder on the passanger side doing it. It sounds like those moving trucks when they take off and you can hear that da-da-da noise coming from them making them sound like they need a tune up. My car is not bad and you can barely hear it....but it is not music to my ears. Also I have lost a small amount of low end power.
I think it might be in need of new spark plugs and wires (since they are the same from date of purchase). What do y'all think?
The car has 128,000 miles on it and is at 14* timing running 93 octane. I know it is not ping because I know what that sounds like.

Start with the small stuff like plugs and wires...How long have they been in?You said since the purchase date but i'm not a mind reader(wish i was) so i dont know when that is

Also, look for an exhaust leak. They can sound funny, anywhere from ticking to sort of a knock. They will be worse under load because the exhaust pressure gets higher. When you pull your plugs, be sure to look them over real good and make sure you know which one comes from which cylinder. It may help you track the problem.

Start cheap and work your way up. While you're doing the plugs and wires, do a compression check. That way you can rule out any cylinder problems. Besides you have to take the plug out to replace it right? Might as well stick the compression guage in between replacing each plug instead of installing your plugs twice.
