Default Odd electrical problem

So after buying a 1993 Mustang, had a 4cyl to 5.0 swap done previously, I noticed that when I turn on my brights my gauge cluster turns off immediately and the only thing lit up on the gauge cluster is the needle but everything else is off and displays as if the car is turned off.

Forgot the weirdest part of the problem.
Say i got the car off, but the ignition in the on position. Well when I click the light switch back to turn on the bright i can hear my fuel pump kick on and poor fuel into the injector line.

I have tried replacing the ignition switch as someone said it could melt and cause wires to touch.

Yikes! Seen so many of these swaps gone wrong. Start off with this site. Should have just about everything you need as far as wiring and such goes.
