Default 1990 Mustang Electrical Problem with Starting

I really need some help with a electrical problem I am having with my 1990 LX
5.0 mustang. When I started the car the engine started but the starter did not stop running. Even after I turned the key off the starter would not stop running until I disconnected the battery. After about 10 minutes I tried to reconnect the battery but then the starter kicked in again.

After I replaced the starter everything worked for a little while but then tonight it did it again. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? Or how to fix it?

Any help you could give would be great.

Starter Solenoid.. Located on the driver side right behind your battery.. About 14 bucks at your local parts house....

I changed the Starter Solenoid at the same time as the starter and it did not help.

Hooked the starter solenoid up wrong? Or Check your ignition wire going to the starter solenoid and see if it stays hot after the crank cycle.

I have checked it mutiple times and the selonoid is hooked up correct. The wires don't get hot until after the problem starts.
