ABOUT TO LOOSE MY MIND AND PATIENCE!
I installed a Cobra Intake in my sons '89 GT. Everything went smoothly so I thought. Finished the swap, changed the oil, set the timing at 12 deg. Today I took it out for a test drive and it seems that the friggin car has half the power now that it had with the stock intake!!!!Is there something that I overlooked or something im missing. I'm *old skool* all this EFI stuff is new to me, I thought I would give it a try but I'm this close to converting this thing to carb like my '92...Any suggestions?
BTW-The car has Mac equal length headders,h-pipe,2 1/2 Flows,Cold air intake,3.73 gears

Hmmmm.... Coolant line? When I took the old intake it had 2 lines for coolant. The Cobra Intake I put on has only 1 in front but when I hooked up the coolant line to it the car ran like crap so I took it off and ran a vaccum line that comes from down by the chassis in front of the k member to it and it idled fine. So I just plugged the coolant line. Is this where I screwed up???Does anyone have a pic of the Cobra intake with all the hoses hooked up correctly? I would sure appreciate it.

the vaccum line that comes from the front of the car on teh passenger side is the fuel vapor line. it comes from that canister on the structure of teh body down by the sway bar mount. that one goes to the to the front of the intake by the one runner. that intake should have two spots for the coolant. but it sounds like you got or had coolant in the mtor were it shouldnt of been. check all your vaccum lines

Ha,ha. When I installed mine this past weekend I must have taken the upper off 4 times trying to fix a vaccum leak. Turns out that the leak was coming from the throttle body the whole time. Did you swap all of the fittings from your old manifold to the new one. Did you hook the vaccum line to the fuel pressure regulator back up?
