89gt All good until I turn the Key?
I recently acquired an 89gt coupe that has been sitting in a garage for a few years and when I jumped it, all the lights were coming on nice, but when I turn the key all the way (to start) in all goes black. You then have to disconnect the battery and let it sit, doing so will make it repeat the cycle. Does anyone know why?

Well, the thing that was weird about it was that it would hold a charge, the cars lights and stuff worked, but the electrics would reject it when I tried to start it. But w/e you're right still, it was bad.

unless you performed a load test and or checked the specific gravity of each individual cell you cannot state such.......there is more to testing batteries then just voltage being present so I doubt you performed or have the proper equipment to test batteries to draw a proper conclusion to what was bad about the battery.
