I went to start the car and when I turned the key the battery light that says amp came on and the car would not start and the voltage meter was low. I thought it was the batter so i pulled out the battery in my truck which is charged and the battery light came on again and the voltage meter was still low. No sure what the problem could be any suggestions?

Have u checked to make sure the plugs on the alternator are tight u might try that .U might also make sure it is charging.
