Axle Shaft Issues
#11
Well I called tech support and it turns out that Alloy makes the "button" on the c clip side oversized and is designed to be ground to fit. I should have gone with my gut and just ground them down and I could have had the axle in on Sunday. Oh well I needed lug nuts, and I ordered them last night. Hopefully next weekend I can get the fuel and brake lines run and get a start on the exhaust.

Funny you say that...the tech guy I talked to said that Moser, Alloy USA, and Superior axles leave the c clip side long because its a known problem on the Ford rear ends. There is too much slop in the stock axles and when you start making power, the slop causes the c clips or the "button" to break.
This is what the tech from Summit Racing said. And I have seen plenty of 35 spline Moser axles with a nice twist to them, so I stayed away from them. I should have just bought the Strange axles, I know lots of guys using them without issues. And some of them are in the 7s now.
But other than the c clip side being long, the Alloy axles look really good.
