nothing special, it's a common trait in roller blocks

I have seen it on non roller blocks from 1980 on up I have seen yyy on my last two blocks and I have seen just 5.0L so being an automotive die caster. We did things like that to the die between rebuilds and reusing it in production then after about the 10th tag we send it back to ford/gm/ Toyota and they do there thing with it and then it gets destroyed
