Default Tremec TKO 600 owners i need some info.

I'm going to be installing a TKO 600 soon in my 94 Cobra. I will be using the Mechanical Speedo cable. I'm also going to install 3.73's in the rear. So what combo of speedo gears will I need to have the correct speed? I've searched the Tremec site with no success.

Depends on tire size. There are speedo gear calculators online. TKO 600's use a 7t drive gear iirc.

I've got 20.5 tooth speedo gear. I used http://www.gtsparkplugs.com/SpeedoGearCalc.html to calculate it.

I used
7t Driven gear
3.73 Rear end ratio
25.68 Tire height(using 315/35/17)
1000 revs/mile(guesstimate, I cant find it anywhere.)

But on 50resto.com I found the speedo recalibration kit for T-5 w/3.73's. 7tooth and 21tooth. So I guess I'll be trying the 21 tooth when I install my TKO.

Thanks for the help 67mustang302

You can't have half a tooth on a gear. So it's either 20 or 21.

haha I know. But that's what the calculation gave me. I'll be trying the 21 tooth and hopefully verifying with my GPS.
