Default ford hei

i have an hei distributor for a sbf. it has a chromoly gear. will this work well with my 1992 ho 5.0 (w/hydraulic roller cam)

As long as your cam wasn't machined from a billet. If it's an OE forging or a standard aftermarket replacement, you are fine. A high end billet needs a softer gear.

No it will not work with a EFI setup. Not because of the gear but because of the electronics the distributor uses to send signals to ECU...

The stock cam IS a billet cam if I remember right.....

I can't stand when I see HEI dizzys on a sbf, looks like a dang pumpkin sitting under the hood , way to big, people use them on carbed applications on the sbf, won't work for the efi applications

i love mine on my carb car.one wire hookup makes it nice and clean
