EEC Fuse inquiry
hey guys,
I've put it off for a while, but a few months back I had a continuing problem in my 1994 Mustang GT with the EEC Fuse continually blowing (high current engine bay fuse panel... just to avoid confusion). The fuse is a 20A. on two separate occurences driving through a parking lot , the motor just shut off, and i had to roll the car into a parking spot. Checked all fuses, 20A EEC fuse was blown, went to walmart, picked up a fuse pack. First time i replaced with a 20A, that one blew and have had a 40A in it ever since with no further shutoffs.
The annoying thing is, now my dash clock periodically shuts off and is always incorrect, more of a nuisance than anything... and I have a feeling its related to my fuse set-up. I do have an aftermarket sound system (Rockford Fosgate subs, amp, fuse and wiring all through) just wondering if thats a possibility for my issue.
Again, the car runs fine and hasn't died on me with the higher fuse, but it is annoying, so if you find the time, some advice or solutions would be great
