Default slicks rubbing tail pipes

I was given some well used 26 X 10 et drag slicks and have put them on 15 inch 10 hole rims. The tires touch on the quad shocks but I think I can get away with flipping them. With the car in the air and the slicks on I managed to get enough clearance of the tail pipes by moving them on the hangers but when I lowered the car down the sidewalls of the tires ballooned out and now they are touching the tail pipes.

My car has flowmaster 2.5" catback and eibach lowering springs which I believe lower it approximately 1 inch front and back. The car is a street car but I was hoping to take it to the track. I dont wanna cut off my tailpipes for a day of fun at the track. Would 28 X 9 or 26 X 9 slicks fit? What should I do?

let me get this straight... you have a 26x10.5x15 on a 15x7 wheel???

Get some 15x8's with the correct backspacing.

Tires ballooned out? No prob! Just keep the pedal to the floor, they'll grow up instead of out!

you should get rid of the 10 holes, they ballon that size tire, I ran mine on a 10 hole for a while but contact patch is not the best since they need to be on a 15x8

+ whatever we're at now

i have eibachs and my 10 1/2" tires fit fine, probably 1/2" to spare

you are correct if you reverse the quads you gain what you need, but wider rims should do it
