Default gt40p intake

So i cant find an install on the GT40P intake without the heads at the same time.

I found a upper and lower gt40p intake cheap. Can i install this without doing the gt40 heads? I have 24 pound injectors and fuel rail w regulator. So i figured if im gunna tear it apart i might as well install intake if i can while im there.

If so can i use just 5.0 intake gaskets? Is there any adapter, fittings, **** like that needed?

This is on a 90 5.0

No, you don't have to do the heads at the same time and it is a direct bolt on. You'll have to buy new intake gaskets. No need for 24 lb injectors on a stock engine.

i wouldnt call the car built, but its not stock...

BBK intake, MSD ignition system, Mac long tube headers, BBK H pipe, Mac pro mufflers, NO cats. hign flow pump

I have the gt40p upper and lower intake to add, fuel rail.

Dont think the 24 pd injectors will help?

Nice.. I was also wondering if you could do an upper and lower without any more mods.. On a stock 5.0 with only an exhaust if you did gt40 upper and lower what kind of hp gains could be expected?

Larger injectors (e.g. 24 lb) may be beneficial if you upgrade the Mass Air Flow (MAF) unit and throttle body. Could also stand a higher volume fuel pump. And as a side note, if you're in there doing any of this, be sure to add a fuel pressure regulator and gauge - they come in very handy!

No gains from the 24# injectors on a stock headed/cammed engine. As mentioned, you would need a matched MAF for the 24# injectors or it will run really rich.
Also, you really won't notice any butt dyno gains from the GT40 intake on a stock longblock. I would use Felpro #1250 intake gaskets for the base to heads if you really want to put it on.
You will probably also have to drill and tap the hole in the #5 runner for the IAT sensor and drill/tap the hole in the passenger rear for the EGR coolant hose. I now run a PP Typhoon intake.

IAT is just to the right of the distributor, behind the #5 injector. Can't see the coolant fitting back by the firewall behind the fuel pressure regulator.
