Default Steering bearing (upper)

I purchased my 1988 GT about two weeks ago. I am in the process of getting it to a drivable(enjoyable) condition. I have gotten a great deal of info from the people on this site and the "search feature" has been a life saver.

The steering wheel has some side to side play, after taking the plastic cover off, I noticed that the upper bearing is broke. The aluminum is busted on the left side. I have searched and looked at many after market websites for this issue and how is best to repair it....

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I'm not intricately familiar with the steering column of a fox, but your description sounds like the column itself is cracked in half. Post a pic.
