RE: 460 in a 89-93
if you use aluminum intake, aluminum heads, headers, move battery to trunk, the weight is no problem . it don't only run fast, it sounds awesome, with a good exhaust & cam you will be noticed . if you have to rebuild the engine think about stroking it .if you want that in your mustang go for it . it is some thing you don't see every day. good luck.

YOU CAN GET A REMANUFACTURED 460 SHORT BLOCK ON EBAY FOR LIKE 600 BUCKS AND THEN JEGS HAS GOT A KIT TO SWAP IT FOR 900. THEN ALL YOU NEED IS A TRANNY, 9INCH, DRIVESHAFT AND K-MEMBER! TOO MUCH HASSLE! HERES THE LINK ANYWAY.

RE: 460 in a 89-93
the 460 requires a HEAVY DUTY engine lift to put it in, but is extremely easy. Id put aluminum heads and intake on top of one, that has been bored over 500 cubic inches.
Dont feel bad, GM made the 305 and 350's a tight fit. If you give cheap parts 400 hp 500 torque, good parts 600+ hp, and massive torque. 9's very easy.
Gentleman at my job had a pear block Mustang Fox with a cage and mods, pushing 8.77 in the 1/4 ! with a 460, sold that car for $10,000 last year.
Tranny, suspesnion, brakes, chassis, rear end, all need upgrading.

RE: 460 in a 89-93
i guess uts time to post these again
note that the headers have been taken loose so they would normally be closer to the motor than this by a little bit....
and just for the hell of it.......
