Pin 57 comes out of the ecc red, not black. The cowl panel you speak of, is this inside car behind dash or under hood near fire wall?

Pin 49 is orange. RH/LH = still assuming sitting in drivers seat?

Yes to the RH/LH.

My fault on the #57. The black ground you're looking for is PIN 20. Ground point of the wire remains the same.

I've never taken the dash off any of my foxes (yet), but I've taken quite a few off other cars, and I've never seen any ground wires up high near the glass (indicative of the word "cowl"), so I'm gonna assume my info here uses the word cowl in place of "kick panel", IE the piece of plastic that runs between the edge of the glove box, and the floor, where the ECM is. Unfortunately I don't have any location diagrams, only words.

Use paragraph #3 of this link to properly test the grounds. Just because a test light lights up, doesn't mean its good.

Any detail on the orange wire? RH rear of engine theres no ground I can find. We are talking under the hood correct? Grounded to fender, engine block? Perhaps if someone had a pic.

By the way, spent last week putting my dash back on after a heater core change out. And argued with autozone and walmart about my battery being dead. Those people have no idea unless a computer tells them the answer. Lol!

Finally took it to a professional, guy said the extent of wiring problems would have never been found out by me. ECU needs to be replaced. Multiple of connectors loosing power, shorts in wires, fuse links, etc. Thanks for the help though guys, I do feel I have a better understanding of my wiring.
