I own a 92 mustang gt, bought the bbk shortys model 1515. Summit told me bolt on and no mods needed. Now my u joint is rubing the header? any ideas why?

No, don't shave the joint unless you want to risk creating more issues. He's saying the mounts because they have rubber cores that break down over time and cause the engine to sag, which is probably creating your issue

I had the same problem on my 86 just mark where it's rubbing on the header and tap it with a hammer. I had new motor mounts when I installed the headers so I doubt that's the problem

Eventually it might wear a hole in the header eventually I have shorty tuned headers on my 95 5.0 and have no issues at all I have all new motor mounts and rebuilt motor in my car though. Mounts might fix it. Don't shave the u joint bc of that fails your screwed. I would see about the mounts first.
