Rocking when letting off the gas

Rocking when letting off the gas
So this isn't a serious problem or anything but it's kind of annoying at times.
When i am driving my 88 gt and go to let off the gas, usually in 1st-3rd gear, my car acts like it is rocking around 1k to 2k rpms. Its almost like when you get off the clutch to fast and the car lunges and eventually stalls out but i am not on the clutch, just letting off the gas. I feel like this is a suspension problem and nothing to do with the motor/trans, but i could be wrong. Anyone else have this problem? Got any ideas on what it could be?
This also occurred on my 98 gt that i had so i feel like is pretty common. I know its not my style of driving or me not knowing how to drive because i am simply letting off the gas...
