Lean codes are generally caused by intake leaks past the MAF, such as intake gaskets or vacuum lines.

i was told that by someone else as well. but i was told it could be a vacuum leak. but when i sprayed around behind the maf with carb cleaner the ideal never changed. so after that i thought it could be a fuel problem. so changed out fuel filter and spark plugs and that didn't fix it.
