Default Coolant Fan Woes

After giving up on the problem and trying to ghetto rig my fan only to burn up a ton of relays, it's time to ask the experts

What I know:

*Problem started when I blew a hose from the water pump.
Changed the CCRM, no change.
Tested the Ohms on the temp sending units, all normal
The fan definitely works, I hooked it into the battery

No matter how hot the engine gets, the temperature gauge only moves past the 1st dash, but it does move.

So tired of driving around like a grandma and turning the engine off at every stop light. I'm hungry, please feed me

if your car is overheating at red lights, you need to start by replacing the pump.

The pump is brand new. I didn't say I was over heating, I said I turn the car off at lights to avoid heating.

if your fan works, and your CCRM is good. and both sensors have been replaced... you shouldnt be having any cooling issues. If your gauge is reading wrong, you might want to just invest in an aftermarket gauge. the stocker isnt exactly known for being all too accurate.

Maybe I didn't give enough information. The cooling problem is that the fan does not turn on when hooked up properly. The only way I can get the fan on is to ghetto rig it to the battery, and that doesn't last long because the fan burns through relays. I want it to kick in when the engine gets hot like its supposed to.

perhaps you need to get your hands on a wiring diagram and do some investigative work. or maybe you should just bring the car to someone who can fix it.

Or I can use a different forum. Moddedmustangs.com has been giving me much better information within the past week. Looks like I have a forum winner.

When are you expecting the fan to come on. After driving and stopping at a red light. You shouldn't need the fan to cycle.

In most situations fans will not need to cycle unless you are stopped or driving super slow for a few minutes.
