I have an 84 mustang with a 302. I want to remove the smog pump. do I need to remove the lines or can I just cut and plug them?

depends how you plug them really

there are ports on the heads that need to be plugged, the h-pipe needs a cap/plug

pretty easy...might as well dump it all too. it makes spark plug accesability way easy on the passenger side of the car afterwards

just like nitro said.., just plug the hose after the 2 combine from the heads and plug h-pipe 1 also!! Very easy to do! You might take longer finding the belt that fits!!
