You gotta get the car up high enough so that the swivel fitting will turn. And you need about 4ft of extensions. My new edge was a pitfa to do. Ideally you want a lift. If no lift is available you gotta get the car about 3ft off the ground to make the swivels work. And an impact gun

ive never had an issue. is this a foxbody ? or the '04,'08, or '11 trans...cuz sometimes clarity helps for better answers

The top left bolt, I managed to get this combo to work.

15mm shallow socket 1/2 drive, uni joint, 6" extension, 150ftlb torque wrench, or ratcheting breaker bar
Removed the other bolts with the trans member in place, removed the trans member for the last bolt.

I am removing the trans and bell housing together. I have everything removed but the 2 top bolts including crossmember. If its easier to take off the trans and bellhousing seperately i will do that. I will try that later on today. Thank you guys for the ideas, i hope they work.

Remove the 4 bolts that hold the trans to the bell housing and slide it straight back and out...THEN remove the bolts for the bell housing...

10000x easier

make sure you remove the shifter before you try to pull out the trans....just sayin...
