You do need to double check the base timing. Make sure you remove the spout connecter when doing so.

C&L does have sampling tubes to "calibrate" for the injectors. The injectors running at 28lb? If I were you I would get a stock MAF and some 19lb injectors and see how it runs.

You can check your codes very quickly and easily. Then you will know for yourself what your possible issues are. No reason to go ripping into anything just yet.
First day off since I got the car tomorrow. I'm planning on checking the codes.
Got a new tps and iac, checking grounds and looking for vacuum leaks, and then I will go from there. Its been hot then cold then wet and hot and cold again, so we're going to check the distributor for moisture too.

something else to add, before this idle problem started happening, there was no backfiring or anything. the car drove fine for two days then it got cold and this stuff started happening.

Replaced the iac and tps, and got a matching maf. Found a few vacuum caps that cracked, replaced those and put a few new hoses on. New pcv valve and changed the gasket between upper and lower intake. still need to find a longer bolt for the intake (one of them had a few stripped threads) and adjust the tps. I think the biggest problems were the multiple vacuum leaks and the maf.

The car is running smoother now than it was before.

Anyway thanks for all your help. You have given me a lot of info to work with in the future.
