Oil Leak at head Gasket ... Help
I have a 1988 302 roller motor and its got an oil leak I can seem to figure out.
where the head meets the block, near #7 spark plug??
I have done a compression check, all checked out very good.
changed valve cover gaskets (double checked , not leaking), intake gaskets, rear main seal is dry, oil pan gasket is dry, and its not coming from the dip stick tube. there is no oil in the water, and there is no water in the oil, and runs great otherwise.
cleaned area with gunk, and test drove, and the leak still keeps coming back.
when im over the engine, and rev it, white smoke (burning oil) comes up from that area. losing about a Qt in just 2 hrs of driving.
also all the plugs look great except #8, oil on plug.
i poured in some Bars engine product into the oil in hope for a quick fix, but hasnt stopped yet.
as far as i know there is no pressurized oil between the head and block, right?
Before i tear the top end off to replace the head gaskets, i thought id check and see if anyone had any ideas???
