Default Oil Pump Shaft

Ive heard that this is a common problem and ive had it twice but my oil pump shaft keeps breaking. I have no idea why. what it looks like is the pump locked up or something and it twist the shaft until it cant anymore and then it snaps. So either two different oil pumps have locked up on me or these shafts are just too weak. Is there an aftermarket one somwhere or something. Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do about it.
Thanks in advance guys!!1

I beat the crap out of my car and have never had any shaft problems. Not on my old engine with the stock pump or on my rebuilt engine with a high volume pump.

Might have issues with the deck straightness at the oil pump mounting spot. The smallest of angle problems will twist it really easily.

ARP makes a shaft... but you should take your pan down and replace the pump.

Look at pickup screen closely, check for restriction.
