Default Starter won't disengage

So i decided to park the car due to not being able to put a battery on the car, as soon as i connect it the car tries to start itself and then after its started the starter doesnt disengage and grinds the hell out of the flywheel, turning the key doesnt stop it only way to stop it is disconnecting the battery. Ive checked my grounds, starter is relatively new, ignition switch is new, battery leads are new. Anybody got any ideas?

check the solenoid 1st, then if it still stays engaged then the starter bendix is bad. Yes; you can get a bad bendix on a new reman starter.

Brand new box bad part. Suggest you disconnect the cable to starter at solenoid. Use DVOM to check voltage at terminal you disconnect. Little testing will save time and $$$
