If it ran fine before the intake swap use the original injectors and MAF and see what happens

As for the timing.... get a pick up of your distributor....

Did you pull the spout connector before trying to set the base timing?

To check the balancer bring the motor up to TDC, remove the crank pulley and balancer and make sure the key on the crank is at the 12 o'clock position. then install the balancer again and see where the pointer is at. If it is not at 0* then you have an issue. With it at 0* to it should also be at the #1 plug on the dizzy obviously....

But again a screwed up MAF sensor, mismatched MAF and injectors, timing issue, and vacuum problem are where your issues lie....which one is the question....

You didn't put a vacuum line on the BAP sensor on the firewall did you? (MAP sensor)

Information on injectors..

Get some stock 19lb injectors in there......

It did run fine before the intake swap. The maf and injectors are the originals I had on the car. It still runs pretty good except for in the morning. I'm going to heck the timing the mechanical way and line up tdc no1 then check the crank keyway. No I didn't hook up the bap sensor to vacuum ( been there before) I also swapped out the maf with a known good one and no dice. I'll update when I find something

I had the same thing happen to mine and it just got worst over a few weeks...Turned out to be the pickup in the distributor. I had a used complete diss which I swapped out and the poopping under load went away. They do go bad. Try that cause I went crazy trying to figure that out. Its worth a shot swaping it out to be sure.

If it ran good with the old intake and crapy with the new one, change it back again and see if it does it again. I know it sounds bad & time consuming but, use the process of elimination to find the fault. You'll surprise yourself.
