Newer rear end will be wider than your current rear end.

I'm personally going with the 94 front spindle assembly and Ranger axles. It all depends on what you want to spend. You can do it for $200ish (lincoln rotors, ranger axles) , but you have a limited selection of wheels. About $3-400 (depending on if you buy new parts or get all used) (94-95 spindles, ranger axles) and you can use any 94-04 wheel. Or $500+ and have rear disk brakes, which stop better (can't tell you how much better myself as that's not the route I went, just what everyone says)

I have an 8.8 rear end, I found in some axle shaft replacements to covert to 5 lug but would that also make it easier to put disks on it? I've heard about the lincoln front hubs but I thought maby all of this would be in a complete kit? I don't want to get a new rear end the person who I. Got the car from built the diff up so it could stand up to th horsepower this car is putting out. Just kind finishing where they left off

Www.latemodelrestoration.com has a kit but it uses your stock front assembly and it really limits your wheel selection. I'd go with the 94-95 spindles and brakes up front. For the rear I think you can use ranger axles and get some kit for disk brakes I you want read disk, I'm not really sure on it

The spindles fit but the ball joints are different requiring you to use a spacer to properly tighten the castle nut. In one of the above links, they say you can use a couple or 5/8" grade 8 washers.
This info I got from another site and it's what I used when getting my axles.
Two driver side axles from '83 to '92 4 cylinder or 3.0L V6 Ranger/Bronco II with a 7.5" rear end or two passenger side axles from 86 to 97 Aerostar. You could also use one of each (what I ended up with) but like I said, I'm not real sure on the whole disk set up thing. You could probably use the search function and find some information on it.
