Default 89 stang wont start need ideas

Working on an original 87 4 cyl car that now has a 89 5.0 mustang engine and everything. Long story short it ran very well and was put away and stored over winter outside i believe. Sat all winter and now will not start. It just turns over and over and never tries to fire. Looks like it is getting fuel and i can hear the pump run. Just put a new i think its called TPI on the front of the distributer but it didnt help. any ideas to try?

you dont mention that you checked spark. check that. simple things to run are power, fuel, spark and then compression. I had a 5.0 sit for a winter and it lost the ring seal so no compression.

o guys heres the latest i have found. Turn key to on and the fuel pump runs constant. Turn key to start and pump shuts off and engine rolls with no fire.
Also it only gets spark on the plug once i let off the key from start position and let it flick back to the on position. what the heck is goin on!? bad ignition where the key goes in?

Possibly, but more likely the electrical ignition switch that is bolted (riveted?) to the steering column under the shrouds. Either way check both for obvious signs like melting or frayed wiring, and if none seem apparent, replace the electrical switch first.
