i just picked up a set for gt40 iron heads for my 88 lx , was gonna pull the valves on them and do a little port work , the exaust valves come out easy enough , but the intake valves i cant seem to get free, there is like a little circle that the retainers hug up to tried tapping on it wouldnt come lose also will my stock pushrods work with these heads , any info would be great thanks

The keepers are stuck. Get a $10.00 spring compressor at slO' Reilly's and pop them loose. on the pushrods, depends on what cam you are going to go with. I'd buy a pushrod checker for anything other than a stock cam.

place a socket of the same size and smack it with a hammer then use the spring compressor to remove springs, that should be enough to free the retainer.
