Went to lkq in search for a valve cover. Came back with
$10
I already have one of these on my car $10
Not bad for $30, better then the $180 price on ebay
Im worried about the valve cover clearance tho...
Mine are like bigger thicker aluminum and the ones i got off the v8 thunderbird are smaller thinner steel i believe, there not as deep as the aluminum ones and im worried about the rockerarms hitting...they fit with no problem tho...

Stick a lump of clay on the rockerarm, put the cover on and rotate the motor a couple times. That'll tell you if you have clearance.
Oh, and good buy on the instrument console. Those go for a mint.
You might want to go with a cleaner color for the letters, road grime will make the white into grey in a couple days. lol

What am i looking at to having my 4cyl t5 bot up to the 302? I know ill need the bellhousing/fork, clutch kit, flywheel. What exactly do i need to make the pilot bearing match up? Anyone got some links to like advance auto parts or the part number for what im needing?

Good choice of paint on the intake. Mine is the same color, but its an Edelbrock Performer. I kinda miss the stock lettering on the plate. Are the rocker arms clearing your covers? If you have cash to spare, might want to do the headers before you get it back in the car. Wish I had.

I was gonna go with the blue and white on the intake like i posted a while back but it started being more trouble then it was worth to just paint it so i just went with black. Yea i believe ill be ok with these valve covers as long as i keep the stock rocker arms for now...ever change to roller rockers i may have to go with some diff valve covers. Ive been looking for some headers but no luck so far. I had to leave the ones i have in the mark 7 when i pulled the 5.0. Couldnt get to them to undo them...damn o2 sensors are right in the way. Got the motor out and took my angle grinder to them lol
Think ima go pull the rearend out of the mark 7 today

Dont complain too much about clearance on our foxes... I got a look at my buddy's little Subaru WRX the other day, and you can't even see the plugs, the belts, the ground down through the engine bay... I'd hate to have to work on one of those. Re-friggin-diculous.

3L27 apparently is the gear set. 3.27 L might indicate traction lok
88 is the 8.8 which you already know
0B06 is the manufacture date. im guessing '90 feb 06.
S407F has something to do with the place of manufacture of the axle
again, please wait for confirmation if this info will dictate any future actions.what i just told you is practically a guess
