Whats the word on clutches for the T5's? is the "king cobra" the one to get? I'll be helping Steve put this damn thing in the car in the next couple weeks - want to make sure he's not going to have to pull it back out right away.

God no, don't get a King Cobra unless you want to permanently destroy your foot and shred your clutch cable. I went through 3 adjustable cables in the 3 years that crap was in my car. Never again. I use Centerforce, and I like it, but some prefer Spec.

my favorite clutch ever....although EXTREMELY short lived for me, was the motorsport heavy duty

the king cobra just feels too stock and makes you sketchy but seems to work ok

I think someone slipped you a stock clutch in the King Cobra box, Bob. If you didn't notice the pedal pressure, you must be a power lifter. :P

Centerforce pressure is almost stock. The counterweights sometimes click a little bit, but its rarely noticeable.

When I had the King Cobra, I used to drive 30 miles out of my way to avoid those slow crawl traffic jams on the interstate where you have to creep along at 1 or 2 mph while the people passing the accident in front of you gawk like it was a friggin spaceship full of aliens or something. Can't just stick it in first, gotta ride the clutch.

Now I don't worry about it. Its annoying, sure, but at least it isn't an unplanned workout session, while wondering if my clutch cable was going to shred yet again.
