hey guys my throttle cable kepts popping out of the little black grommet. so i took it off and see the hole in the grommet is all opened up. i have searched and searched and cant find any1 talk about this lil part or what its called. the throttle cable plugs into it underneath the t/b and it looks like a lil black cap. heres a picture.

If im thinking about the part you are talking about, im sure they are no longer available from the dealer anyways, I would go to your local junk yards or do a search on the forums or even post AD's asking for the complete TB lever/cable assembly. If you post better and more pics of that part assembled, then I and others may know more about what you need. Also more info. on your stang would help too.

why dont you take a picture of where it came from... so we have a better idea of what the hell it is.

checked out junkyards no luck. i tried to take a picture of it in the car. unfortunatley its not so simple to take a clear shot. ill try with another camera tomorrow.

maybe this will help, if you look beneath the t/b, you will see the throttle lever. underneath the lever is a beige plastic clip<and this black cap is attached to the clip.

i will do my best to get that picture. cant seem to find this anywhere

If it is what I think it is, you car going to have to buy a throttle cable from a parts store if you go new.

Looks similar to the end on the cruise control cable under the throttle body.

I was thinking cruise control as well. There are two cables running to the throttle body. One is throttle and one is cruise control.

ok it maybe the cc cable. its the cable closest to drivers side.
