Default Cam Gurus Please Step In....(Cam measurement question)

I bought a used Trick Flow Stage 1 cam, verified that it is a TFS1 by the numbers on the back, I took a measurement of the lobe with my micrometer and it cam out to be 1.6XX inches, I then took a measured the stock HO cam and it was 1.7XX inches, now with more lift from the TFS1 cam shouldn't the lobes on the TFS1 cam be taller than the HO cam?? Please only answer if you really know any info on this, thanks.

you need to install the cam and either measure lift at the lifter or on top of the retainer on the head, as adder states base circle affects measurement the way you are doing it, which is not correct.
