Does a 1991 Mustang GT 5.0 have a rev limiter
#2
I know the manual transmissions do, and it kicks in at 6,250 rpms. However, the factory tachs are notoriously incorrect. Someone here should be able to let you know for sure if automatic transmissions have the rev limiter. I would say they probably do, as it's a safety feature, but that's just my hunch.

The A9P ECM will cut fuel at 6200 RPM and will turn it back on at 6100 RPM
As for the A9L... Either the binary calibration I have is wonky, or i'm seeing the rev limit set to 8000 RPM! However, there seems to be a speed limiter set at 127.5 mph... But I've never heard of anyone being speed limited in the A9L foxes. Weird?
