Default 89 GT convertible electrical question

Hooray, I bought a 89 GT yesterday with the plan to restore it, but I am at a loss as the turn signals do not work. The hazard lights work, but the turn signals do not. The flasher that is located away from the fuse panel has a yellow and orange wire coming out of the plug that are both cut. I assume this is the problem, but am not sure where these wires are supposed to go. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Shawn

that would certainly cause the flasher to not send out a signal. is the wire just cut in half or is cut near the flasher and is concretely missing?

The wires are cut right at the flasher. I have an appointment with a mechanic later this week. I am at a loss, and want it fixed right.
Thanks
Shawn

Welcome to the forum. As you may have guessed, I am a big fan of the '89 GT Convertibles! Have fun restoring it, they are a BLAST to drive, especially in the warm weather. I am sure someone can help you with your electrical problems, although they can be tricky to diagnose over the internet.
