Hey so I got a 90 LX, and my mechanic installed new struts and shock and springs, I bought 2 strut mounts but he said he didn't need them because I also put on a caster kit, is this true?? Also I'm wondering if my car has a k member brace , my front end makes a annoying popping noise and someone old me it was possibly my k member brace since I know fosure it isn't my tie rods/ball joints/sway bar

K member brace bolts onto the k-member under the rear side of the engine. It is not a stock piece, take a look and you will know if it is there. It would not ever make noise if unless the bolts were loose.

Caster/camber plates ARE strut mounts, and they are likely the cause of your popping noise. Learn to live with it.

Now that I remember, I had an annoying noise when I occasionally hit a bump. Turns out the driver's side strut was not tightened to the caster camber plate the whole way. Just a quarter turn loose. Tightened it and viola, church mouse.
