I have a 1994 GT Conv 5 spd the car is all stock nothing but a K&N, my question is can I remove any of the clutter under the hood or does it all need to stay connected for the computer to respond? I think I know the answer but if you don't ask you don't learn and from what I have been reading there are many a smart Mustang owners out there.

There are a lot of really dumb ones here too.

Removing your EGR will set a code, cause cold start issues and can set the light. It can however be deleted via tune. As can the thermactor system (smog pump). Honestly though, if its not broken... Leave it alone. It's not costing you any HP.

AdderMK2 thanks, I kind of was thinking along those lines but you never know what folks discover as they play with their toys. In my state the car is excempt from polution checks so anything is possible. Thanks again

I'm not sure on the SN95's but I was able to delete all smog equipment except the cats and egr. I was and am still able to pass AZ emissions.

There are big parts of Arizona where you could delete the EGR and the cats and still be ok.....
