Hello friends. I have been trying to track down a rattle in my 92 lx 5.0. It only does it in 5th gear right when I push the gas or right when I let off of the gas but not the whole time im on it. When it does the rattle you can feel it in the car but more in the shifter but the whole car vibrates some. I have been told it could be anything from a loose hatch which I have checked to a loose exhaust. Could this be a driveshaft or rear end issue? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm leaning towards a driveshaft. Check the bolts are tight in the back, and see if there is any play in the universal joints.

does it change when you rest your foot on the pedal ?

it could be where the input and output meet too.....it will only get worse if thats the deal
