Get a buddy with a pressure tester, verify before replacement.

Well heres an update:

We replaced:

The Spark Plug Wires
The Spark Plugs with the correct gap.

and it ran good for about 30 seconds and then started to pop again with loss of power.

I was starting to rev it past 3000 rpms and it sounded fine. so we decided to take it for a test drive to the local speed shop her in san antonio. it made it about half way. with a total loss of power. now the car doesnt even start.

&
Then we replaced ignition module on the distributer, but that had no affect. we also cleaned the mac sensor.

any ideas?

My old car did the popping sound and struggled to accelerate when the fuel pump went out. That would be my guess

Always amazes me how people are willing to throw hundreds of $ in parts at a car, when the diagnosis of the real problem would be 1 hours labor at any good shop.

True that!! But sometimes its not easy finding a "good shop" that wont cost an arm and a leg, that wont diagnose everything but the problem.., Eh maybe just me.., my area but i dont trust any shop atleast round here. Thats why im here 24/7 or surfin net.
Good Luck OP

Bro I understand that, but considering that I live in San Antonio all the mechanics here poke people's eyes out. Plus iv only had this car for about 3 months I don't mind replace parts even if I don't need to. I like know exactly what I have in my car and if it's been replaced.
