Another question... Does the off road x-pipe have places for the 02 sensors and air pump?

well i dont know you state laws but, yes they can tell by the smell. the machine on the side tells which car is running incorrectly. since your putting more carbon monoxide[or whatever]into the air. i guess ppl do it in your state. i do know that your state is STRICT when it comes to pollution. ask around for the ppl in your state.
i would find out more info then do it or not do it.i wouldnt want my car impounded for no reason. i have a offroad pipe. and my state requires cats but i know of someone who helps me out for inspection time. but for somereason a state trooper decides to look im screwed but the likely hood of that happen slim to none. i dont drive my stang that much i have other rides to do that. my stang is for enjoyment and racing duty. and i try to stay under the 5000 mile mark. so i can be emissions exempt. so i dont get measured i jsut get a sticker.

on my bbk offroad hpipe it has the sensors and the pump tube. you dont really need the pump if you dont have cats. but since you live in Cali. you need all the orginal equipment that came on the car.

Well I guess thats good and bad for me. It just doesn't seem likely for a cop to pull me over and decide to check out my pipes... I don't think I'd mind swapping this exhaust out when I smog either, it only takes a couple hours to do so. Ive got a buddy who would probably get me passed but I'd rather just do that swap I think...

Thanks for you help ohsoquick I appreciate it. I think Ill go with the o/r X-pipe unless someone here proves it to me to be REALLY REALLY be unwise..

BTW, if you have anything else to add you can think of please do, I apprciate the help

no problem. that is what were here for. i would of bought a x pipe i heard the sound is different. but since i got my setup off a parts car that i bought. and my headers came on my car already that is the reason i have my current set up. the only problem i have heard with the xpipe is there is no adjustment in it unlike the hpipe which can be spread wider or narrower. and i think the xpipe has clearence issues sometimes. like when you install a different tranny like a tremec and etc.
