Default black coolant problem

I have a 66 stang with a 92 efi 5.0 drive train in it and am haveing a overheating problem. i flushed the coolant system when i opened the cap and found an orange red mud like substance in it . i have sence flushed it 3 times and have removed the tstat and it is still over heating and now the coolant is black. I have put in 2/3rds of a bottle of water wetter in it trying something mainly cause i was at a show and had to get it home i was hoping it wasn't going to overheat but it did. and now the coolant is a dark and dirty looking and has black specks in it. any help would be great i just don[t know which way to go with it now. the pump is working great. and cant find any problems with the motor. is their anything that can be pored through the radeator from top to bottom with the hoses off to flush and clean the tubes in the radiator. it is an all aluminum one 66 style about 3 inches thick . allso i have a 2200 cfm fan pulling air through it.

Sounds like head gaskets to me....That could explain the overheating problem

that is what everyone is telling me but how could the gasket be blown and no fluid transfer from oil to coolant or from coolant to oil. i do believe the little black specs are from the water wetter from what i have been reading but . i guess i am just going to have to pull the heads after this weekend . i have a car show schedualed for saturday then i can pull the heads

I have used wetter water and didnt have black spots so Im guessing its from the heads....Some people put pepper in there radiator to stop leaks maybe thats what it is IDK?

perform a block check, napa sells the kit to detect hydrocarbons in the cooling system = it'll pick up on a blown gasket

Maybe someone put the Dexicool GM coolant (hence the orange color) I've read when mixed with traditional coolant it can sludge up..

no problems with the heads had them checked with a kit at the machanics shop. (sorry spelling sucks). did drain some collant from the radiator and found black sludge sand like crap in the top real thick. i think the radiator is cloged beyond hope so i am going to put in a new one and flush it again and see what happens.
