Explorer injectors

Explorer injectors
I have a 95 mustang that is getting an explorer gt-40P motor. My question is it looks like the injectors off of the explorer motor will not work with the mustang wiring harness. Is this correct? I do not have the stock mustang injectors but I do have a set of brand new 30lb injectors for a mustang. Would these work or would they be to much for a stock motor? Thanks for your help

So number 1 the explorer injectors will not work correct?
#2. Should I just sell the new injectors and get something smaller? At some point in time I would like to get a cam for the motor would these injectors still be to big for that as well?

First of all, the connectors should be the same on the Exploder injectors. I recall them being the same, as I used an Explorer motor in the past.
Secondly, you'll need a MAF calibrated for the 30lb injectors, and a fuel pressure regulator, then they will work fine. You'll likely need them anyway if you go with a new cam. I'd just use the 30's and save the hassle later on.

Well I did some more checking and the injectors are definitely a different style. Does anyone know if the C&L kit comes with a new mass air and its all plug and play for the 30lb injectors with the new kit? Thanks for your help guys.

The c&l meters do not come with a sensor attached, just a housing but the way they work is you change the sample tube for the appropriate injectors. I believe when you order you can pick which sample tube you want. I got a sweet deal on one of those but its calibrated for 42lbs injectors and I also need to convert to maf before I can use it and see how well they work.

Yes it's a new 76MM MAF. You have to remove your electrical stuff off of your stock MAF and bolt it on the new unit but it's 2 screws, very simple. It's plug and play. It's high quality and pretty much replaces a Cold air kit. Heres a link that's to the kit already calibrated for 30 pound injectors.
