Default Mustang T5 Transmission leak

New to the forum. We have a challenge here. My seventen year old son just bought a 1978 Ford f-100 pickup with a 1995 Mustang engine, the 5.0 FI. with the 5 speed transmission. It has the Telorvek (Ron Francis) wiring kit. The transmission is leaking from the front. My Haynes Mustang manual covers replacing the rear seal but does not bother with discussing replacing the front seal. I wonder why not. Any input here would be helpfull. It loses half the fluid then stops leaking. Thanks.

could be o-ring on lower bearing cage seal = tranny out and apart, or input retainer = tranny out and 4 bolts to remove retainer then pop seal out of backside of retainer.

Thanks mjr46. would you know of a publication that would take me through the steps on the procedure that requires "tranny out and apart" if it is the O rings on the lower cage seal? Thanks again.
